I finally finished this! X3 It took so long… Not for sale, BTW. It was for my baby sister. I thought it was cute enough to post, though.

Pikachu iPod Nano Case

This pikachu iPod nano case was a commission from Mooch4LoveKitty at SheezyArt. (Therefore, it’s not for sale to anyone but her.)

Features:
*full port access while case is in use
* bottom ports reinforced with hot-glue
* adjustable lanyard
* screen and scroll wheel protected by clear plastic, which still allows for use
* interior lining of felt + reinforcement of plastic for strength and water-resistance
* Pikachu’s “face” lifts up for easy access to screen, but when not viewing screen his face is down, which makes the iPod case look more like a stuffed animal and less like an iPod case
* Pikachu’s tail is made of two layers of felt with a hidden layer of plastic, reinforced by hot glue. (I was concerned that it might get damaged, since it sticks out a bit, so I reinforced it.)
* his lower legs are reinforced the same way that his tail is
* his face is painted on with permanent markers (felt was almost impossible for such tiny dimensions, and I didn’t want parts to fall off…)
* he’s very water-resistant. He shouldn’t be intentionally exposed to water, but in a light rain you’ll have ample time to put him away since he has so much plastic hidden between the felt layers
* the case stays closed by itself, but I put in a new closure system anyway. I noticed that the clear plastic I used for reinforcing his interior framework tended to stick to itself- and remembering that velcro sometimes quits working after a while, I instead used two ample pieces of this clingy-but-tough plastic as closure (see photos for details.)

* Pikachu had a tragic love story with my stuffed Mew, by the way, but it wasn’t meant to be… However, he’s eager to go to his new owner to soothe his broken heart.

For Sale – iCritter Snow Fox iPod Case

This is an ‘iCritter’ iPod case from Snow Fox Creations. I make these by hand individually, and each one has many features including:

* clear plastic protects the screen and controls while allowing full access to them

* small opening in plastic at bottom of case to allow full access to USB port for charging and syncing (the hole is small enough that there is absolutely no risk of the iPod falling out)

* back of the case closes with velcro and has back made from no-fraying ribbon

* secure case is made from canvs-backed fake fur and is held together by upholstery thread + tons of hot-craft-glue. I used several sticks in the hot glue gun for this- it is NOT going to fall apart. It’s the same type of case I use for my own iPod and is very secure.

* The “face” of the fox lift up to allow access to the earbud port and hold switch. In normal use, the earbud cord will trail out from beneath the face and willpermit use, while hiding the base of the earbud cord (which, in my opinion, is rather ugly- but Steve Jobs has different tastes.)

* The fox has a fur tail, pipe-cleaner whiskers and felt facial features- including its mischievous smiling face. >^_^< Its legs and ears are made from 2 (in the case of the ears, 3) layers of felt glued together with hot craft glue. Once hot glue dries, it's pretty much indestructible. (I found this out in a rather painful way. If you use hot glue, keep it OFF of your fingers!)

* The ends of the adjustable strap are sealed with no-fray sealant, in addition to being tied with thread and over themselves, to prevent fraying.

* BTW, the fur is ***FAKE***. I wouldn't take it from an animal! D: No little animals were harmed by this.

So, I present an iPod case that is both cute and nearly indestructible. Please give this sweetie a good home! >^_^<
